JOB SUMMARY
Brewer Media Group is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Traffic /Continuity Coordinator, who is willing to work hard, has great organization and time management skills, is attentive to detail and has the ability to multi-task amid constant interruptions. As a Traffic/Continuity Coordinator, you are responsible for scheduling and creating a sequence for the running of all commercials for each Brewer Media Group stations; getting daily logs prepared; checking daily logs at the end of each broadcast day to make sure commercials, advertisements and PSA were aired correctly; ensure accuracy of programming; notify Office Manager of objectionable content; ensuring that all advertisements, commercials and PSAs are aired in the most effective way and are in accordance with all FCC rules and regulation; keeping accurate record of everything aired on the station, which includes advertising, commercial and PSA spots as well as programming information; making sure that all sales orders are filled out correctly and that all sales information is being accurately updated and reported; answering and transferring all telephone calls to the appropriate department/individual and being a problem solver.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and create a sequence for the running of all commercials
- Review all commercial orders for accuracy
- Ensure that all commercials and advertisements are aired in the most effective way possible
- Ensuring advertisements are listed with exact time and date to be aired
- Checking daily logs after daily broadcast to make sure commercials, advertisements and PSA were aired correctly
- Ensure that all commercials are complete
- Review material that may be objectionable enforcing traffic standard and procedures
- Ensure that all sales orders are filled out correctly and that sales rates are in compliance with company rate card
- Assign cart numbers for orders
- Manage, generate and reconcile logs daily
- Ensure that all advertisements, commercials and PSAs are aired in accordance with all FCC rules and regulation
- Keep accurate record of everything aired on the station
- Prepare Weekly and Monthly Invoices
- Welcome visitors and company personnel by greeting them in person or on the telephone
- Answer and transfer telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
- Be knowledgeable of Brewer Media Group, its stations, station events and promotions
- Work closely with Programming, Production, and Sales
- Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients
- Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential clients to maintain and develop business relationships
- Represent Brewer Media Group in the highest regard within the community and business environment
- Must be able to develop and maintain effective communications with both internal and external business partners
- Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
